Student Name: | Shelby P |
Grade: | 10 |
Title: | Ravenous |
Description: | The work is hand-built using slabs. The student carved lines and added textures to create the illusion of skeletal structure in a stylized way. The bottom form was also created using slabs to bring in contrast and give the work more presence. Idea development is based on starvation and destructions of the human form. The final surface for the figure was created using clear glaze and acrylic paint to bring out the crazing of the glaze and mimic blood vessels. The box form was surfaced with underglaze and clear glaze. |
